Anna's Brave Step: First Time on the Toilet

In a big, colorful house in the heart of Hamburg lived a little girl named Anna. Anna was 3 years old and enjoyed wandering through the expansive parks of the city and marveling at the big ships anchored in the harbor. Her favorite place, however, was the Planten un Blomen Park, where she always went on great explorations.

One day, as Anna was walking through the park with her mother, she felt a little twinge in her stomach. She hesitated for a moment. Her mother had recently explained to her that now, as a big girl, it was time to leave the diaper behind and use the potty instead. "And if you need to go, you should always tell me," her mother reminded her again and again.

Thinking about the toilet and the potty made Anna a little nervous. She wasn't sure if she was ready for it. But then she remembered the brave sailors she often saw in the Hamburg harbor, and how they courageously sailed the open sea. Inspired by their courage, Anna decided, "I can do this too!"

So she gently tugged at her mother's hand and said with a small but resolute voice, "Mom, I need to use the potty."

Her mother smiled widely, pleased and a little surprised. "That's wonderful, Anna! Let's quickly go home and use the potty." They set off, but Anna suddenly stopped.

"Mom, but we are in the park. What do we do now?"

Without further ado, Anna's mother turned this moment into a little adventure. "You're a brave girl, Anna. We'll find a toilet here in the park. It's like a treasure hunt!"

Captivated and a little excited, the two set out to find a toilet in the park. They passed beautifully blooming flower beds, crossed small bridges, and felt the gentle breeze through the trees.

Finally, they found a clean and bright toilet, and Anna took the big step. It was much easier and less frightening than she had thought. Her mother was with her the whole time, supporting her.

When they came out of the toilet, Anna beamed with pride. "Mom, I did it!", she exclaimed happily.

"You really did, my dear. I'm so proud of you," her mother said, lovingly took her in her arms, and swung her around.

From that day on, Anna felt a little taller and braver, especially when she walked through the Planten un Blomen Park. She always remembered this adventure when she passed the colorful flower beds or felt the gentle breeze in the park. Anna had learned that it's okay to need help and that there's always a way to be brave when you're ready to take the first step.
